Keratin debris can accumulate on the feet and nails, so that separation of the nail and nail.  If untreated, the nails can be divided and fall.

Because of the keratin debris is trapped between the nail and the bed, detachment ( onycholysis ), causing discoloration, black or yellow, so that the nail is clear.  An accumulation of debris and forms can be longer if untreated.
